But with the help of my fellow blogger in crime, Darlene Scott, offering much needed help and encouragement,ta-da here I am back bloggin'. I had added RSS feeds to my google account back in the beginning of May and was amazed at the amount of information on all kinds of things there is. It is really kind of overwhelming. After looking through many feeds I finally chose some of interest. I can see how this would be a very convenient way to keep up with news and special interests if you spent alot of time on the computer. I don't, so it probably won't be as useful to me. I think its a good thing to know it is available.

7 1/2 Lifelong Learning Habits

The 7 1/2 Lifelong learning habits (like the title-kinda quirky) that I think will be easiest for me are setting a goal and accepting responsibility for my own learning. I usually have confidence in myself as a learner except when it comes to computers. I'm an old-fashioned,handcrafts type of gal and feel kind of intimidated by "machines". I tend to get frustrated very quickly with the computer. For instance, when typing this blog I wanted to bold the word "except". So I selected it,bolded it, and unselected it. The computer proceeded to bold every word after that! So I just deleted the bolded words and re-typed in regular typeface. So, as I do the 23 things I will breath deeply and try to see the obstacles as learning opportunities.Breathe, Breathe!

Screams from the Mountain

Whew! I can't believe I finally made it here. I didn't think I'd ever get done with setting up accounts, thinking of passwords, and trying to figure out wierd looking letters and numbers which I am sure are some sort of psychological test like the Rorschach ink blots!(Hmmmm, is it a" b" or an "a" or a "q" and why is this important?!). Now that I'm finished venting I will admit it was kind of fun and I'm looking forward to the rest of the "Things". By the time I've reached number 23 I hope to be more comfortable with trying new things on the computer, other than just using e-mail and shopping!
